Canon ink printers have always been known for their high quality and reliability and the Canon Pixma MX924 inkprinter is no exception. Designed as a high-end office All-in-One, the Canon Pixma MX924 has a whole range of features designed to provide a high quality inkjet printing experience. We have a look at some of the best features.

  1. It has the ability to copy, scan, fax and print. It also has a fairly large paper tray that can handle 250 sheets at a time. It has a 35 sheet document feeder and can copy and scan double sided pages as well as an automatic duplex printing feature.
  2. It can print on a variety of media, including CD/DVD, plain paper and photo paper. The photo paper tray holds 20 sheets of standard sized photo paper (10 x 15 cm) and the CD/DVD caddy clips neatly under this tray. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot, but you can print direct from USB.
  3. It can be plugged directly into a computer, and USB and Ethernet cables are included, but the wireless printing feature is the most useful. The software for the Canon Pixma MX924 includes support for Wireless Direct, Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint.
  4. When it prints it uses 5 separate Canon ink cartridges, which saves on replacement costs, and are available as standard and high yield:
  5. With a large LED control panel you can easily view the selected function and you can preview images. It also has the standard buttons for copy, scan, print and fax and has a 16-button dual-function pad that will show different buttons depending on the function you selected.

All in all, the Canon Pixma MX924 is our favourite inkjet printer of 2014. Best of all, is the price. It is currently on promotion at Makro for R1 999 and you’ll get a full set of starter ink cartridges included with the printer. You can also get the full range ink cartridges for the printer from
