HP’s new range of printers and toner cartridges, which were announced this week, represent what they call “our most significant laser printer re-engineering since the introduction of the first LaserJet in 1984”.
The new printers are the “smallest and fastest LaserJets” and are designed to streamline printing and “use up to 53% less energy, take up 40% less space and wakeup, print and duplex [print] in a fraction of the time”, according to HP.
HP have also reinvented the toner cartridge in order to keep up with the high speed of the new machines. Offering up to 33% more professional-quality prints with HP’s JetIntelligence technology. The new HP toner cartridges also offer better protection against counterfeiting with “innovative anti-fraud technology”.
The new ColorSphere 3 toner is the “latest in toner formulation” with a durable outer shell and a soft core of toner particles which melts at a much lower temperature, making the new printers more energy efficient. The new toner cartridges also promise to predict toner levels more intelligently, helping you get the most out of each cartridge.
The new printers include the HP Color LaserJet Pro M252 series which is up to 33% smaller than competitive devices and is built to meet the needs of a small workgroup, streamlining workflow with mobile printing options and fastest first page out in its class.
The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 series is the smallest laser MFP and offers the fastest 2-sided printing in its class, according to HP.
Finally, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M552 and M553 series is ideal for larger workgroups of five to 15 users printing up to 6,000 pages per month. These printers print at high speed while achieving the lowest total energy consumption and fastest double-sided printing speeds in its class. They are also the first to include Google Cloud Print 2.0 supporting Google’s new local printing standard for Chromebooks and Chrome OS applications.
