We love Instagram. It makes even the most mundane snap look like the work of a professional photographer. And while having those snazzy photos on your phone or on the internet is pretty cool, having them on a wall or in a frame at home is even cooler.

But how do you go about getting your Instagram photos off the web and into a frame? Well, there are several options. We take a look at a few.

1. Download and print at home

You can download your Instagram photos from your account and print them out at home. Instagram automatically saves your photos to your phone’s camera roll. You can either download the photos to your computer using a data cable, or email them to yourself.

Alternatively, you can use to quickly and easily download your Instagram photos to your computer. All you need to do is sign in with your Instagram account, select your export options and download your photos.

2. 250Gram

If you’re not in the mood to play around with photo editing software, you can always get your photos printed for you. There are a few South African companies offering Instagram photo printing. 250Gram will give you Polaroid size prints (90mm x 105mm), they’ll also deliver your photos to your door.

3. Studio 22

Alternatively, Studio 22 has a service they call Instaprints. You can choose from a wide range of photo sizes from 100mm x 100mm to 300mm x 300mm, or, if you want larger photos, you can contact them for a quote.

4. Printstagram South Africa

Printstagram offers a variety of Instagram printing services, including calendars, aluminium posters, phone cases and stickers, all customed designed by you. They'll deliver your order to your door once it's been completed as well.

To print at home, make sure you’ve got some photo editing software to resize your images (as they’re pretty big), high quality photo paper (either matte or glossy) and a full set of colour ink cartridges for your printer.
