Coming hot on the heels of Epson’s outstanding performance in Canstar Blue’s consumer satisfaction survey (Epson Inkjet Printers Win Consumer Satisfaction Award), Samsung toner printers have won several awards in the Buyers Laboratory (BLI) 2014 Summer Pick Awards.
In the hardware category, the Samsung Xpress C 1810 and the Samsung Xpress C 1860 won awards for Outstanding Personal Colour Printer and MFP, respectively. Tony Maceri, Senior Test Technician at BLI, was especially impressed with the full-colour touch screen available with both models.
In the Outstanding Personal Monochrome Printer and Outstanding Personal Monochrome MFP categories, the Samsung Xpress M 2835 and the Samsung Xpress M 2885 both demonstrated the simplicity of Samsung’s mobile printing technology. Marlene Orr, BLI’s Senior Analyst of Printers and A4 MFP, said that “with [these printers] mobile printing couldn’t be easier.”
The printers also help users get more out of their toner cartridges and lower the cost per page by removing text or images, decreasing text density or changing the font before printing using the Samsung Easy Eco Driver without altering the original document.
Strengthening Samsung’s reputation as a leader in energy efficient printers, the Samsung MultiXpress CLX-8640 and the Samsung MultiXpress CLX-8650 both received an award in the Outstanding Achievement in Energy Efficiency category.
Due to Samsung’s eco-friendly technology, these printers use less energy than standard printers and have received many 5-star ratings for energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
Rounding off the list of awards, the Samsung MultiXpress CLX-8650 also achieved recognition in the Outstanding A4 colour MFP for Large Workgroups category due to its user-friendliness, high performance and eco-friendly design and features.
According to Mark Ash, General Manager Samsung UK Print Division, “the BLI awards are highly respected in the industry, so for our printers to be recognised by the body as the best in the market is very exciting.”
